According to foreign media reports, Anbofu and Lyft recently signed an agreement, the two sides will launch 30 autonomous vehicles in Las Vegas. Starting from May 3, local time, the public can use the Lyft network app to travel using Apollo-equipped autopilot vehicles.
Kevin Clark, CEO of Amberford, said in a statement, "The data and other information brought by this cooperation will help us improve our autonomous driving capabilities and strengthen our active safety solutions." In January this year, the two companies were in international consumption. The technical capabilities of self-driving vehicles are demonstrated at the Electronics Expo.
On May 2, local time, Anbofu announced its first quarter earnings report. Thanks to the strong growth in the South American market, Anbofu's revenue in the first three months of this year increased 40% year-on-year to US$307 million. In the first quarter, all regions achieved growth above market growth, driving adjusted operating income to grow year-on-year. 21% to 427 million US dollars; net income rose 15% year-on-year to 3.6 billion US dollars, while income excluding special items increased by 8% compared with the same period last year.
From a regional perspective, the first quarter of Anbofu's South American market revenue increased by 19% year-on-year, the Asian market grew by 9%, and the European and North American markets achieved an increase of 8% and 6% respectively. According to Amberford's forecast, its full-year revenue will be between $13.9 billion and $14.4 billion.
In addition, Clark also revealed that in response to the increasingly fierce competition in the automotive applications industry, Amberford is acquiring KUM, a supplier of automotive connectors.
