How will China's four emissions delay the implementation of commercial vehicle industry?

The implementation time of the National IV Standard was postponed. The discussion around it in the industry continued without interruption. The production companies were also keeping an eye on the development of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. It can be said that the implementation time of the National IV emission standard has become a mystery for the commercial vehicle industry.

In December 2010, the Ministry of Environmental Protection replied to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers with the “Replied to the Implementation Date of the Fourth Stage Limit of the National Motor Vehicle Emission Standard”: For gas ignition engines and automobiles, the National IV standard was implemented on time; for vehicles Compression-ignition engines and automobiles will be implemented from January 1, 2012; light-duty vehicles will be implemented from July 1, 2013.

Waited for a few years on July 1, 2013, as scheduled. However, the reporter learned from environmentalists that the state-standard for heavy-duty diesel vehicles will be implemented on July 1 as scheduled, but the national standard for light-duty diesel vehicles, which account for nearly half of the diesel vehicle's ownership, cannot be met because domestic oil supply cannot meet requirements. The national implementation date will be postponed again, and the specific implementation time is uncertain. So what should be done to deal with the national standards, dealers, car companies, and industry professionals?

Dealer: Not yet started to reserve four models of the country

After Shanghai, Chengdu and other places made clear on July 1 that they will implement the fourth national emission standard on time, recently, Beijing, Zhejiang Ningbo, Jiangsu Nanjing and other places have also issued relevant regulations for the full implementation of the National IV emission standards from July 1st. The regulations require that all heavy-duty diesel vehicles be upgraded to the National IV emission standards. In Beijing's National IV emission-related implementation policy, it is clearly stated that on July 1st, the National III heavy-duty trucks will not be able to sell and sell in Beijing. In fact, the five Beijing heavy-duty truck dealers that the reporter called all agreed that at present, the country has not begun to reserve four models.

In addition, dealers in Shanghai and Nanjing also said that they will not begin to reserve the country’s four new cars. “Now the 4S store has all three national storage vehicles. If any customers need to order a national four car, orders can be produced. Let's look at the specific circumstances of the implementation of the policy, the follow-up may begin to reserve the country's four new cars.” Heavy truck An agent, Shanghai Times Tiancheng Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. Manager Shen Caiquan said.

National IV implementation will impact heavy truck companies

The implementation of the fourth national emission standard for heavy-duty diesel vehicles may impact commercial vehicles, especially heavy trucks. Dong Yang, executive vice president and secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said that if the standards are implemented as scheduled, they will face the problem of inadequate supply of denitrification agent for the four diesel oils in the producing country and regulatory issues for the universal use of the National IV diesel.

“We are also trying to figure out how to implement the policy. Once the national standard is implemented, SCR (selective catalytic reduction) will be added behind the vehicles using common-rail technology. Now common rail technology and SCR are mostly held by foreign manufacturers. Common rail and SCR, there is no way to meet the requirements of domestic car prices. In addition, the installation of SCR need to go to the gas station plus urea, China's current highway gas stations are not set up urea supply point." A domestic heavy truck company technical person in charge said.

In addition to relying on foreign technology and products, urea supply supporting shortages, the increase in costs has also become an important factor restricting the sales of the four diesel vehicles. According to the above-mentioned person in charge, under normal circumstances, vehicles need to install SCR about 15,000, which will increase the cost of low-end vehicles below 100,000, which will make it difficult for some buyers to accept.

Four major environmental protection pressure countries should be implemented quickly

“In the case of hazy city pollution, the national standard for light diesel vehicles has also been postponed twice across the country. This is incredible,” said Yuexin, director of the Vehicle Fuel Emissions Laboratory at the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, with vehicle pollution. It has become an important source of air pollution in China, among which the emission of pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and fine particulates (including PM2.5) from light diesel vehicles is greater than that of petrol vehicles (such as cars).

At the time of the implementation of the National Standard for Commercial Vehicles, Scania, the world's leading commercial vehicle company, stated that the company has already made relevant technical preparations for emission standards. In an interview with reporters recently, Mr. He Mochi, executive director of the Scania China Strategic Center, said that the issue of air pollution in cars is not only a problem faced by the Chinese auto industry, but also a common problem that the global auto industry needs to solve. Regarding the lagging phenomenon of domestic diesel oil products, He Mochi admitted that the failure of oil products is not due to technical difficulties. The key reason is that domestic relevant government departments have not conducted effective communication on the supply of refined oil products. In the final analysis, it is still an issue of execution.

Regarding the issue of cost, He Mochi said that “at present, many domestic commercial vehicle companies have misunderstandings about the national standard. They believe that after the implementation of the fourth national emission standard, companies will increase the cost substantially. In fact, it should be considered from another perspective. He said that from the point of view of the entire industry, the increase in costs cannot be avoided, but the efficiency of commercial vehicles can be increased from transportation, logistics and other aspects to make up for the increase in product prices. In other words, abandoning the traditional idea of producing low-quality, low-cost commercial vehicle products and instead producing high-end commercial vehicles with higher quality and stability, it is beneficial to provide products with longer life spans and gradually increase costs in long-term use. The increase is offset.

Steel Pallet

Galvanized steel pallet was designed as an alternative to wood and plastic pallets to advance and solve problems with modern Industry manufacturing methods good for warehouse storage. They are much more hygienically safe than wood pallets. Wooden pallets can often get contaminated with bacteria that lead to hygiene issues and the spread of disease and illness. Steel pallets can be hygienically sanitized and cleaned more effectively and negate germs, bacteria and insect infestation. Wooden pallets also create a fire hazard and using steel pallets negates this risk.
Our custom steel pallets are cost-effective, hygienic, safe and durable. Metal pallets manufactured by us are very durable, resistant to chemical contamination or corrosive action.
