It is reported that the 900-ton gantry crane of CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Ship Co., Ltd., which was contracted by CSIC No. 9 Design and Research Engineering Co., Ltd., successfully completed the lifting and unloading of the whole machine on the eve of the Spring Festival, and completed the important node of the whole machine. The crane has a span of 161 meters, a beam height of 90 meters, and a hull section with a maximum weight of 900 tons. 
At 15:38 on January 25, the main beam of the 900-ton gantry crane began to static load.
At 12:18 on January 26, Huangpu Wenchong issued an upgrade order, and the 900-ton gantry crane officially began to improve. During the whole machine upgrading process, the project department of the hospital strictly followed the hoisting plan approved by the experts, and successfully completed various lifting operations.
On February 3, the main beam of the 900-ton gantry crane and the rigid legs were safely unloaded after the weld was closed, and the lifting work of the whole machine was successfully completed.
According to the news, the lifting of the whole project was highly valued by the leaders of China State Shipbuilding Corporation and the participating parties. On February 3, Chen Qi, deputy general manager of CSSC, went to the 900-ton gantry crane project to conduct safety inspection guidance before the Spring Festival. Before the whole machine was upgraded, CSSC issued the “Notice on Ensuring the Overall Hoisting Safety of 900 Ton Gantry Cranes†(Ship Regulations [2016] No. 2), requiring that the overall lifting operation be carried out with absolute safety.
