In the first half of the year, the total output value of the forest industry increased 8.5% year-on-year

Zhao Shucon said on the same day that the State Forestry Administration's Party Group Expansion Meeting and the National Forestry Department Director's Video and Telephone Conference stated that in the first half of this year, 75.47 million acres of forest were completed nationwide, accounting for 83.9% of the annual task. A total of 2.22 billion trees were planted on a voluntary basis, accounting for 88.8% of the annual tasks.

In the first half of the year, the total output value of the forest industry was 800 billion yuan, an increase of 8.5% year-on-year; the import and export of forest products reached 47.5 billion US dollars, an increase of 30.4% year-on-year.

Zhao Shucon said that the State Forestry Administration will further optimize the development environment of the forestry industry, implement the "Rejuvenation Plan for the Forestry Industry", step up efforts in the preparation of the "National Timber Strategic Reserve Production Base Planning" and "National Development Plan of the Wood-based Panel Industry" and implement the task of cultivating reserve forest resources. Enhance the cultivation of rare tree species and large-diameter materials, accelerate scientific innovation and upgrading of wood processing industry.

According to Zhao Shucon, this year, the State Forestry Administration will publish "National Economic Forest Development Plan for Special Features (2011-2020)" and "National Flower Industry Development Plan (2011-2020)".
