A modern tractor tyre carries heavy loads easily and is suitable for an impressive variety of tasks. In addition to driving comfort, the tyre should endure higher speeds and offer efficient grip on different surfaces. Agricultural Tractor Tyres used mainly in forest tasks should provide solid traction and reliability of use. Radial tyres have a larger contact area than cross-ply tyres, and they are also very suitable for field work.
The tyres used on agricultural machinery must operate under extreme conditions, which demands that tyres be manufactured with the highest level of technical expertise.
The ply cords of a radial tire have, in a vertical sense, elastic and flexible sidewalls.
In a radial tyre the ply cords extend to the beads and are laid substantially at 90 degrees to the centre-line of the tread,the carcass being stabilized by an essentially inextensible circumferential belt.
The sidewall is elastic and flexible in a vertical sense. Thanks to these features a radial tire assures:
1. less rolling resistance
2. better performances at higher speed
3. bigger and flatter footprint
4. less soil compaction
