Volkswagen sales growth in the United States in November

On December 3, 2012, Volkswagen announced its sales volume in the United States in November. It is understood that the cumulative sales of the public in this month and this year have achieved more than 30% year-on-year increase.

In November this year, the number of Volkswagen passenger car brands sold in the United States was 36,728 units, which was 28,412 units in the same period of last year, an increase of 29.3% year-on-year. Accumulated sales were 394,128 units in the first eleven months of this year and 291,900 units in the same period of last year, an increase of 35.0% year-on-year. In November, the Audi brand sold 12,067 units in the United States, compared with 9,700 units in the same period of last year, an increase of 24% year-on-year. In the first 11 months of this year, 124,469 units were sold, compared with 104,906 units in the same period of last year, an increase of 19% year-on-year.

In November, the Bentley brand sold 212 vehicles in the United States, compared with 138 vehicles in the same period of last year, an increase of 54% year-on-year. In the first 11 months of this year, the cumulative sales volume was 2,078 units, compared with 1,560 units in the same period last year, an increase of 33% year-on-year.

In November, the Lamborghini brand sold 40 vehicles in the United States, compared with 29 vehicles in the same period last year, an increase of 38% year-on-year. In the first 11 months of this year, the cumulative sales volume was 440 units, compared with 311 units in the same period of last year, a year-on-year increase of 42%.

In November, Porsche brand sales in the United States were 3,865 units, a year-on-year increase of 2,255 units, which represented an increase of 71% year-on-year. In the first 11 months of this year, cumulative sales were 32,091 units, compared with 27,189 units in the same period last year, an increase of 18% year-on-year.

Based on the above several brands, Volkswagen Group sold 52,912 vehicles in the United States in November, compared with 40,535 vehicles in the same period of last year, an increase of 30.5% year-on-year. Accumulative sales for the first 11 months were 553,206, compared with 425,867 in the same period of last year, a year-on-year increase of 29.9%.
