Hudong Zhonghua has gradually mastered the key technologies for LNG shipbuilding by cooperating with the French Atlantic Shipyard with experience in LNG ship construction and introducing the patented technology of the French GTT cargo hold system. The first LNG ship built by Hudong Zhonghua came into effect from the construction contract in August 2004. It was officially started on December 15 of the same year. It was completed on December 28 this year in just one year. At present, CSSC is actively organizing innovation and research on the basis of R&D of 147,000 cubic meters of LNG ships that have been built in batches, and strives to achieve independent research and development in the construction of new LNG ships.

The three main ship types are famous international market

In May 2001, the green and environmentally-friendly 175,000-ton Capesize bulk carrier developed and designed by designers from Shanghai and Hong Kong was officially launched into the market, becoming the first “green classification symbol” obtained by the US ABS classification society. In 2003, under the unified deployment of CSSC, the company organized professional designers to optimize the 175,000-ton Capesize bulk carrier, which not only increased its load capacity to 177,000 tons, but also met the International Classification Society.
