Dongfeng Motor R&D New Energy Vehicle will invest 3 billion yuan in succession

A few days ago, Dongfeng Motor stated that in the next five years, the company will invest 3 billion yuan in succession for product development and industrialization of energy-saving and new energy vehicles.

According to the plan, while promoting the development of electric vehicle technology, Dongfeng Motor will continue to engage in research and development of traditional internal combustion engine technology. In addition, Dongfeng Motor will also study hybrid vehicle technology and alternative fuel technologies.

By 2015, Dongfeng Motor will maintain a total of 100,000 hybrid vehicles, and form a production and sales scale of 50,000 pure electric vehicles. The production and sales of energy-saving and new energy vehicles will account for 20% of the Dongfeng brand passenger vehicles. By 2020, the Dongfeng new energy auto market will maintain a capacity of 800,000 vehicles.
