Jiangsu East China Sea Maobei rutile ore mining is a native eclogite type rutile ore, the ore-rich garnet, pyroxene and green apatite and so on. In the ore, TFE is 14.95% and TiO is 25.14%. The main industrial minerals are rutile and ilmenite, followed by titanomagnetite, hematite and limonite. The gangue minerals are mainly garnet and omphacite. followed by white mica, hornblende, quartz and apatite, garnet become an important limiting factors for rutile concentrate grade and recovery rate in the dressing.
The Institute of Mineral Comprehensive Utilization of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences found that rutile, garnet, omphacite and ilmenite are paramagnetic minerals, and the highest specific magnetic susceptibility is ilmenite, followed by garnet. , rutile and omphacite are almost the same. At the appropriate grinding grain size, strong magnetic separation, most of the garnet and ilmenite will be enriched in the strong magnetic concentrate, achieving the initial separation from rutile and omphacite. The density difference between rutile and omphacite is relatively large, but the difference from garnet is small. The re-election process can be used to obtain better separation of rutile and omphacite, but the separation of rutile and garnet is more difficult.
The project adopts full-grain or partial-segment-level magnetic separation-re-selection-magnetic separation-de-sludge classification-flotation combined process to obtain rutile concentrate with 90% TiO2 grade and garnet and green with purity of 88%. For the pyroxene concentrate, the recovery rate of the three minerals is above 67%. Compared with the partial fractionation process, the purity and recovery of the obtained garnet and omphacite concentrates are basically the same; but in the case where the TiO2 grade is basically the same (90%), the partial fractionation ratio is full. The total process recovery rate is 3 percentage points higher.
The preliminary economic analysis of the beneficiation shows that it uses the "partially graded magnetic separation-re-selection-magnetic separation-de-sludge classification-flotation" combined process to treat the ore, processing 2.5 million tons of raw materials per year, and producing TiO2 grade of 90%. The rutile concentrate, the garnet and omphacite with a purity of about 88% are calculated. The annual profit and tax amount can reach 64,449,900 yuan, and the economic benefits are remarkable.
