Kunming Yunnan 980,000 tons of coking project completed and put into production

With the completion of the project, the production capacity of the coke of the Kunming Iron and Steel Group has reached nearly 4 million tons/year. This is Kunming Steel's first involvement in the field of coal chemical industry. According to the plan, Kunming Steel will regard coal chemical industry as an important pillar of the non-steel industry. Kunming Iron and Steel Group is Yunnan's largest integrated steel production enterprise, with an original 2.8 million tons/year coke scale. In 2009, it signed an EPC general contract with Sai Ding, and built a coking project including two 5.5-meter tamping coke ovens and 100,000-ton/year methanol plants in Shizong, with a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan.
