Due to sudden rainstorms in Wenchuan County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province on the night of the 13th to the early morning of the 14th, mudslides occurred in many towns and towns in the epicenter of the Wenchuan earthquake, Yingxiu, causing the formation of barrier lakes in the reach of the Lancang River. Yingxiu Town caused 32 people missing due to the disaster. On the afternoon of the 14th, the reporter met dozens of people who had witnessed the mudslides at the Dujiangyan Passenger Transport Center station and described the shock of his experience overnight.

Liu Yong is a native of Xichang, Sichuan Province and currently works at Yingxiu's construction site. Due to the heavy rain, on the evening of the 13th, Liu Yong and his fellow workers went to rest early. At about 3:30 in the morning on the 14th, a "squeaky" voice awakened him from his dream.

"I immediately got up and opened the door. Because I was too dark, I didn't see anything, but my voice was louder and louder. There were many voices calling for help," said Liu Yong.

Looking at the pouring rain, Liu Yong felt that something was going on. He immediately awoke the fellow workers in the same room and set up a random outfit to run out. “When you ran out, the rivers and streams in the Minjiang River had flooded Yingxiu Town’s newly built houses into two floors and were crying for help everywhere.” Deng Qiang, who ran away with Liu Yong, told reporters.

At 4:30 a.m. on the 14th, when Liu Yong and his coworkers prepared to go to the nearby Longxi Tunnel to seek shelter, thousands of people gathered there. Without stepping on the ground, they could only walk higher and spend the night. heavy rain.

“At about 8 am this morning, heavy rain stopped. We dared to go down the mountain. Fortunately, we met the armed police officers and sent us to Dujiangyan.” Deng Qiang said that from Yingxiu to Dujiangyan, many people on the road called for help. They saved people all the way until they arrived in Dujiangyan at noon.

According to Liu Yong, his work shed is located on the hill opposite the Lijiang River where the mudslide occurred. The position is relatively high. Nearly 200 people lived in the work shed and no one was missing.

At present, Liu Yong and his fellow workers who are stranded at the Dujiangyan Passenger Transport Center Station are waiting for resettlement. They are still worried about the scene when they talk about landslides.
