The world's largest torque capacity of the new plunger steering gear passed the DNV-GL inspection

It is reported that this type of steering gear is the first large-scale plunger steering gear designed and developed by the company. It is equipped with the world's largest load capacity container ship (20,000 TEU). It is also the world's largest torque capacity piston steering gear. The maximum working torque is 9810KNm, using 4 sets of power system. Compared with the previous servos of the same type, this type of steering gear has more hydraulic piping layout loops and major changes in related technical parameters. It has the characteristics of high system integration, high process difficulty and high technical requirements.

In the manufacturing process, the production management department made reasonable arrangements and coordinated in time; the planning assets department completed the construction of large-scale test benches on schedule; the quality department was meticulous and continuously tracked; the technical center cooperated 24 hours a day. Under the cooperation of various departments, the products passed the ship inspection at one time and were unanimously approved by the surveyor and the shipowner.

The successful first-in-one product has accumulated valuable experience for the design and manufacture of the company's multi-powered system, and further expanded the company's range of plunger-type steering gears, laying a solid foundation for the follow-up of high-end ship supporting contracts.
