The illusion is that under certain conditions, it produces perceptions that do not meet the objective reality. There are generally two kinds of perceptions, perceptual illusions and visual illusions. Just like you take a pound of cotton and a pound of iron, you will feel heavy; for example, if you sit in the car, you will see the flowers and trees on the outside moving, which are all illusions, or perceived illusions, or vision.
What illusions do we encounter when we drive? There are five kinds of situations that are prone to illusions and are relatively common.
One: speed illusion
Different vehicles have different speeds. How much the scene moves during driving can lead to different judgments about the speed of the driver. For example, it is easy to overestimate the speed on the urban roads, and it is easy to underestimate on the wilderness roads; it is easy to overestimate at low speeds when accelerating; it is easy to underestimate the speed when decelerating, so that the speed is too high due to speed
II: Distance illusion
When driving on the road, drivers sometimes have illusions about the distance between the head of a passing vehicle, the distance between vehicles, and the distance with the car. As a result, the distance between the car and the car is too short and the distance to the car is too close to cause accidents. When the front is a large car, it clearly feels that the distance is close. When the front side is a small car, the distance between the car and the car is very large. When the reference is dense on the road, the feelings will soon be together. When they are sparse, they will feel far away. When meeting the car, no matter how big the speed difference between the two cars is, it always feels that the car will be located at half the distance between the two cars.
Three: Curvature illusion
According to scientific requirements, the highway is not straight, and the driver's speed on the road varies with the road's camber. Driving on a continuous turning mountain road, the driver will feel that the mountainous area is easier to turn than the plain, so it is dangerous to make a sharp turn at high speed continuously during driving, especially during the downhill process. Attention should be paid to the possible understeer in the continuous turning.
Four: Slope illusion
There are always illusions when climbing uphill and downhill on long-distance slopes, as if driving on flat roads; approaching the bottom of the slope, getting smaller and smaller, always feel like it is going uphill. If you increase the throttle at this time, the speed will be faster. When the slope is gradually reduced on the way uphill, it is often thought that it has become a downhill slope. If you reduce the throttle at this time, it is easy to cause a slope.
Five: Width illusion
For road widths, we often create illusions. At night, we drive on tree-lined highways. The reflection of trees on both sides causes the driver to feel like a vehicle driving in a narrow passageway. After disappearing, the driver mistakenly thought that he had to drive out of narrow lanes to drive fast; when turning, it was also prone to illusion, thinking that the road was obviously narrower and rushed; when the vehicle passed the road section under construction, it was originally separated from the middle, but it felt One side of the construction is wide, and one side of the car is narrow.
When you encounter these situations, you really think that what you think is what you think? This is an illusion that arises in a relative situation, and these illusions also have certain security risks. If necessary, it may help you to understand some characteristics that are likely to cause illusions.
