Siemens successfully developed environmentally friendly ballast water treatment device

It is reported that the SiCure system developed by Siemens Water Treatment Technologies and provided by Venteville is an environmentally friendly solution to prevent alien species from entering the territorial sea through ship ballast water.

The SiCure system incorporates a solution that physically separates and treats the filter with its own hypochlorite produced by seawater. The use of hypochlorite provides more space for processing large amounts of ballast water, and is more energy efficient than UV light. The system does not require the addition of chemicals when working, and has a processing capacity of 600 cubic meters per hour of ballast water.

The environmentally friendly ballast water treatment system developed by Siemens Water Treatment Technologies actually utilizes seawater-derived compounds to help complete ballast water treatment.
