The first international pure electric mining truck BT3650 was successfully tested in Baotou

In September 2013, Baotou City and Tsinghua University signed an agreement on cooperation in production, research and development, and jointly committed to the development of electric mining vehicles. After 11 months of hard work, this pure electric model was developed. The car has a rated load of 50 tons, charging for 10 minutes, full load of 20 kilometers, and the operating cost is only 1/5 of that for diesel vehicles. BT3650 pure electric mining vehicle has the characteristics of green environmental protection, zero emission, low consumption, etc. It is mainly used for rock stripping of open-pit coal mines and earthwork transportation of short-distance coal transportation and water conservancy construction sites.
At 11 am on September 27th, a green mining truck full of sand and gravel shuttled back and forth on the slopes of the fertile rare earth high-tech zone in the fertile land of Futuo Village. It was flexible and powerful. Above the cockpit, its line of characters indicated its “identity”— Pure electric mining car. On the same day, Baotou Beigong Machinery Co., Ltd., Tiansheng Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and Tsinghua University's cooperation project of production, research and development, “BT3650 pure electric mining vehicle” was successfully trial-produced in the rare earth high-tech zone. This car was launched with a new type of independent mining vehicle. The large-tonnage self-discharging mine car is the first of its kind to be driven by pure electricity, and it has become another major breakthrough in China's independent innovation.
On the same day, Han Liping, mine leader of the Wujiata open-pit coal mine in the East of Tianlong, witnessed the extraordinary performance of the first pure electric mining vehicle. He calculated that the average fuel consumption per kilometre of diesel cars is about 2 liters, the cost per kilometer for a car is 14 yuan, and that for a pure electric mining car is only 4 degrees per kilometer, and the electricity cost per kilometer is used. It is 2.4 yuan, compared with the full savings of nearly 6 times the cost. According to the calculation of 300 cars in the mining area, it can save more than 100 million yuan in one year. If the gradual replacement of diesel vehicles with pure electric mining vehicles, the goal of building a “green mine” can be realized as soon as possible.
The author understands that the Sixth Committee of the 11th Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (Enlarged) proposed that we must accelerate the collaborative innovation of industry, universities, and research institutes, and constantly raise the level of industrial development. This year, Baotou City has been listed as a demonstration and promotion city for new energy vehicles. According to the "Baotou City New Energy Vehicle Demonstration and Implementation Plan," by 2015, Baotou City's pure electric vehicles will have grown to more than 3,000 vehicles, and the market has unlimited potential. The successful trial production of new mining vehicles with independent intellectual property rights will help Baotou City to take the lead and gain initiative in the development of new energy industries, and will also promote the development of new energy vehicles and electric machinery in Inner Mongolia.
