Volvo Trucks will soon release the I-Shift dual-clutch transmission , which will be the first heavy-duty vehicle gearbox equipped with dual clutches on the market. The I-Shift dual clutch transmission has two input shafts and two clutches. Two gears can be selected at the same time. The clutch determines which gear is currently enabled. The I-Shift dual-clutch gearbox is based on the original "I-Shift" gearbox, but the first half of the gearbox uses a redesigned new structure.
