The reporter learned from Liaoyang Petroleum and Chemical Fiber Company that the Liaoyang Petrochemical Company's 111,000 tons/year dilute nitric acid and 40,000 tons/year concentrated nitric acid plant designed by the Second Design Institute of Chemical Industry had been put into operation for 4 months since it was put into operation. When the production reaches the standard, the four-in-one unit of the core equipment has become the first domestically-operated domestic unit that has successfully operated, indicating that the nitric acid device in China has been fully realized.

It is understood that the nitric acid plants designed in China, especially the core equipment, have always used foreign equipment and have high investment costs. The second concentrated nitric acid plant of Liaoyang Petrochemical Company's designed nitric acid plant uses the magnesium nitrate process, and the dilute nitric acid unit uses the hospital's modified dual pressurization process proprietary technology. The main feature of the new device compared with the original double pressurization method dilute nitric acid device is that all the equipment is locally made. The four-in-one unit of the core equipment of the device was contracted and manufactured by the domestic Shaanxi Blower Factory, ending the long history of dependence on imports. The unit is the third set of domestic four-in-one units. The two units before this were respectively Yunpo Chemical Industry Company and Shijiazhuang Fertilizer Plant in Yunnan. Shijiazhuang Fertilizer Plant has not yet been put into production, and the unit installed by Cloud Bee is currently not operating properly. The four-in-one unit of the nitric acid plant of Liaoyang Petroleum Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. has been operating well since November last year and has met the design parameters.

Another significant feature of the new device is the high concentration of dilute nitric acid, up to 65%. In order to increase the concentration of dilute nitric acid, researchers have conducted comparative argumentation on several common means such as increasing the absorption pressure, lowering the absorption temperature, increasing the specific volume of absorption, etc., and finally selected an increase in the absorption tower. Cooling water coils reduce the absorption temperature of the program, this can not only ensure the tower finished a higher acid concentration, but also reduce the content of pollutants in the exhaust. After operation proved that the device can fully meet the design requirements, the finished acid concentration of 65%, and in the winter when the temperature is low, the exhaust gas treatment system can not be put into use can also ensure that the exhaust emission standards, greatly reducing the operating costs.

According to reports, the second design institute of the chemical industry has designed more than 20 sets of nitric acid devices throughout the country. The successful operation of the localized nitric acid plant of Liaoyang Petrochemical Fiber Co., Ltd. will play a demonstration role for the new construction and expansion of nitric acid production enterprises.
