New national standard for charging electric vehicles is expected to be implemented next year

Recently, the new energy vehicles have good news. As an indispensable part of the development of new energy vehicles, the development of charging facilities is also accelerating. Recently, German national leaders and Miao Miao, Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, jointly promoted the handle of the Sino-German electric vehicle cooperation project at Tsinghua University. The Sino-German electric vehicle charging project was officially launched.

According to the cooperation agreement between the two parties, the electric vehicles in China and Germany will be fully harmonized with the charging interface standard in the future, and the two sides will also sign a charging communication protocol, which will ultimately achieve complete sharing of charging facilities. It is reported that at present the relevant national departments are using this as a basis for formulating a new national standard, which is expected to be announced next year.

There is a view that if China is also in line with this charging standard in the future, it will increase the importance of pushing this standard to the international market. According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in the first half of this year, the sales of new energy vehicles in China were 20,500, a year-on-year increase of 2.2 times, which exceeded the number for the full year of 2013. Some industry experts predict that with the rapid promotion of various incentive policies for the new energy automotive industry, sales of new energy vehicles are expected to reach around 200,000 vehicles in 2015. China is expected to become the world's largest new energy vehicle market. At the launching ceremony of the cooperation project, the German national leader also stated that “who has a lot of sales, anyone will have the right to formulate standards.”
