Traction control of automotive knowledge

Traction Control System (TCS), also known as ASR or TRC. Its role is to make the car get the best traction in all kinds of driving conditions. The control device of the traction control system is a computer that uses a computer to detect the speed of the four wheels and the steering angle of the steering wheel. When the car accelerates, if the rotational speed difference between the driving wheel and the non-driven wheel is detected to be too large, the computer immediately judges that the driving force is too large. A command signal is issued to reduce the fuel supply to the engine and reduce the driving force, thereby reducing the slip ratio of the drive wheel. The computer uses the steering wheel angle sensor to grasp the steering intention of the driver, and then uses the left and right wheel speed sensors to detect the left and right wheel speed differences; thus, it is judged whether the degree of vehicle steering is the same as the driver's steering intention. If the car is detected to be understeering (or oversteer), the computer immediately judges that the drive force of the drive wheel is too large and issues an instruction to reduce the driving force in order to achieve the driver's intention to turn.

The traction control system can prevent the idling of the driving wheels when the vehicle is running on a wet road such as snow, so that the vehicle can start and accelerate steadily. Especially on snow or muddy roads, the traction control system guarantees smooth acceleration performance and prevents the vehicle from traversing or flicking due to skidding of the drive wheels.
