Heavy truck: FAW rose to first, China National Heavy Duty Truck fell to third

According to the statistics from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers compiled by Gasgoo.com, in the first 9 months of 2010, China's heavy trucks (including whole vehicles, non-integrated vehicles, and semi-trailer tractors) had the highest sales volume as FAW, replacing China’s champion China in the same period last year. Heavy truck. In the first nine months of this year, FAW’s heavy truck sales increased 90.02% year-on-year to 179,521 units.

Dongfeng, which ranked third in the same period of last year, recorded a year-on-year increase in heavy truck sales of 104.44% to 154,142 units in the first half of this year, ranking second.

China Heavy Duty Truck's heavy truck sales in the first nine months of this year increased by only 53.16% year-on-year to 150,648 units, ranking third. In the first half of this year, the heavy truck sales of China National Heavy Duty Truck (115,548 units) were already lower than that of FAW (132,199 units), but it was still higher than Dongfeng (114,972 units). A major reason for the slower sales growth of Sinotruk this year than its competitors is that the company’s semitrailer tractor sales growth is lower than its competitors, and the semi-trailer tractors have been the fastest-growing Chinese sales growth and market share since the beginning of the year. Shaanxi Automobile, which ranked fifth in the year before September, rose to fourth this year. Beiqi Foton ranked fifth in the first nine months of this year. Both of the rankings have stabilized in the first half of this year.

Compared with the top five heavy truck companies, especially the top three companies, you are chasing after them. The 5-10th companies are relatively stable. Regardless of last year or the first nine months of this year, these five companies (arranged according to the sales volume of heavy trucks) were Beiben Heavy Duty Truck, SAIC Iveco Hongyan, Anhui Hualing, Jianghuai, and Sanhuan special vehicles.

Heavy truck: Fastest growth in Foton

In the first nine months of this year, the highest sales growth among Chinese truck manufacturers was Beiqi Foton. In September of last year, the company's heavy-duty trucks sold only 2,785 vehicles, and this year it increased 727.61% to 23,049 vehicles, which surpassed that of Beiben Heavy Duty Truck, Jianghuai, Dongfeng and other companies, and became the third-largest company in heavy truck sales.

Last year did not produce new land vehicles with heavy-duty trucks. From January to September this year, the sales of heavy-duty trucks have reached 4350 units, ranking the 9th in sales of heavy-duty trucks. Compared with FAW, which has the 8th sales volume, it only has more than 2,000 vehicles.

Heavy trucks are not complete vehicles: the top three dominates the market and its share grows

Heavy trucks and non-complete vehicles (chassis) are the highest in technical content in heavy trucks. The three companies with the highest sales volume of heavy trucks and non-integrated vehicles are also the top three in the overall sales volume of heavy trucks. Last year and January-September of this year, the three companies' heavy truck non-integrated vehicle sales rankings were stable to Dongfeng, China National Heavy Duty Truck and FAW.

These three companies accounted for more than 60% of China's heavy truck non-integrated vehicle market, and its share has further increased - its market share in the first nine months of this year has increased from 66.8% in the same period last year to 68.6%. Among them, Dongfeng accounted for 26.7%, China National Heavy Duty Truck Co., Ltd. accounted for 22.9%, and FAW Group accounted for 19.0%.

Shaanxi Automobile also increased the production and sales of non-integrated vehicles this year. In the first nine months of this year, sales increased by 58.88% to 31,558 vehicles, accounting for 9.8% of the total market, ranking fourth.

In Beiqi Foton, the sales of heavy-duty trucks and non-complete vehicles in the first nine months of this year fell by 0.69% year-on-year to 24,384 units, and the ranking dropped from fourth to fifth in the market.

The fastest growing sales volume of heavy-duty trucks and non-complete vehicles was XCMG – up 581.9% from 161 units in the same period last year to 1,098, but its market share was still less than 1%.

Last year, GAC Hino Motors, which did not produce and sell heavy-duty trucks or non-integrated vehicles (chassis), sold 451 heavy-duty trucks and non-integrated vehicles from January to September this year, making it the 10th-largest company in sales of heavy trucks and non-integrated vehicles.

Top ten semi-trailer trucks sold: Beiqi Futian and Sinotruk grow at the slowest pace

In the first nine months of this year, semi-trailer tractors were the fastest growing group in terms of sales growth and share of total truck sales. Its sales volume increased by 102.54% compared to the same period last year to 276,159 units, and its share in total heavy truck sales also rose to 35%. In the first ten months of semi-trailer sales in the first half of this year, there were also two new entrants to the market - Guangzhou Automobile Hino and Jinggong Zhenjiang.

In the first ten years, Dongfeng's sales of semitrailer tractors grew the fastest - a year-on-year increase of 172.88% to 52,955 vehicles, which was the second highest among Beiqi Futian. FAW remained first while maintaining a high growth rate of 145.13%.

Sales of semi-trailer tractors from Shaanxi Auto, Bei Ben Heavy Duty Truck, Anhui Hualing and SAIC Iveco Hongyan also increased by more than 100%.

In the first ten years, the sales growth of semitrailer tractors of Beiqi Foton and China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. was relatively low, which was 8.72% and 59.05%, respectively.
